Visit websiteWe spearheaded Wattyl’s digital transformation by launching an elevated digital experience that considers all users. Specifically, we created an immersive colour catalogue that uses a distinct visual design for each flow.
Challenge
Wattyl Paint engaged us to transform their online experience, and challenged us to better meet the needs of three audience groups – DIY, trade and specifiers.
Solution
For DIY audiences, it uses a paint ‘blob’ to assist in visualising the true colour. For Specifier, it breaks it into rows of 7 to emulate a physical colour fandeck. For Trade, it gives them all related technical information – and seamlessly. The same personalised flow exists for products – where DIY audiences can transact online, and Trade audiences can review product data sheets.
Results
As evidenced by the above statistics, the website has been a resounding success and lauded internally for its data-driven approach. Additional areas include an interactive colour personality quiz, to help users find their perfect palette, and an inspiration hub.
